In just an hour Cesar and I are headed to go pick up our marriage license.   Then it is just 2 short weeks until THE DAY!!!

So excited!

Family and Friends,
If you have not booked your hotel room and plan on coming to our wedding celebration in January, don’t miss out on our discounted hotel rooms!
The Doubletree has just a couple rooms left from our block there.
The Radission has several rooms still available.

Check out this page for all the details and to book a room today.   The room blocks are only held until 12/1/09!!!

Map in Invitations

So someone just pointed out that our map is wrong.   :(

MLK and 15th street are not the same streets as the map would have you think.   MLK is about 4 blocks north of 15th.   The Mansion is on MLK.

Finally Registered!!

Posted by ktrecker2 under For Sellers, Wedding News

A couple days ago Jennifer and Merete helped me start my Registry at Macy’s.

Today Cesar and I set another one up at Crate and Barrel.   I thought it was great fun, Cesar on the other hand wondered why we needed all this stuff. LOL.

Check it out!

Some nice touches…

Posted by ktrecker2 under For Sellers, Wedding News

Decided to add a couple extras to the ceremony and reception.

Mark Cruz – Classical Guitarist for the Ceremony

Bryan at Ilios Lighting – Gonna have some great affects!!

…please, please…do yourself a favor and hire a wedding planner. It is by far the best money I have spent on this whole process.   I can’t imagine doing this all without an expert in the field.   Even if you think you have plenty of time to “do-it-yourself”, a wedding planner offers so much more:

  • They know the better and more reliable vendors.
  • They have unique ideas to help you along the way.
  • They can often save you money from these ideas.
  • Sometimes you can even get a discount from a vendor if you are working with a planner because the vendor knows things will just go smoother.
  • They will go with you on vendor meetings and ask the right questions.
  • They will help you stay on budget.
  • They will help you keep your theme and colors consistent across all areas: flowers, invites, decor.
  • and most importantly…They will be the ones running around making sure everything is perfect on your day…NOT YOU!   (This is priceless in and of itself)

Jessica at Something to Celebrate  is amazing.

Best cake idea ever!

Posted by ktrecker2 under For Sellers, Wedding News

I have discovered the best version of eating cake, EVER!

CAKE BALLS!

They are phenomenal.   Really.   You gotta trust me on this one.   Be sure to try them at the wedding.   Of course we will have regular cake as well.   This will be considered the ‘groom’s cake’.

Check them out: Cake by Bridges

Flowers decided…

Posted by ktrecker2 under For Sellers, Wedding News

Updated 6/24/09:

So Mom and I spent this last weekend interviewing florists and below are some of our final ideas.   Looks like we are going with the Eggplant Calla Lilly idea.

Not as red as the second photo.   I told them “No Christmas colors!!”

Feels good to have this decided…now on to finding bridesmaid dresses.
